We are demanding parity & insurer transparency.
Patients
Hundreds of individuals with lived experience of mental illness support our advocacy for better behavioral health coverage and care.
Clinicians
Dozens of clinician organizations like the CT Psychiatric Society, CT Nurses Association, and CT Social Workers Association are demanding insurer transparency.
Advocates
Mental health advocacy nonprofits like Mental Health Connecticut and NAMI-CT are supporting policy and legislative reforms.
Here’s How We Got Started
The Beginning
In 2016, clinician groups and advocates convened to support behavioral health access as the Connecticut Parity Coalition.
Parity Protected
The CT Parity Coalition, in coordination with legislative leaders, helped enact one of the strongest behavioral health parity laws in the nation.
Enforcing Behavioral Health Access and Coalition Expansion
The Connecticut Parity Coalition shepherded S.B. 10, landmark legislation to enforce state parity laws and ensure insurer accountability, through the legislative process.
The Coalition rebranded as the Connecticut Behavioral Health Coalition to better reflect its greater scope.
